INSANE!! What can I say?? I am the music director for a performing arts school here in New Zealand called "Excel school of performing arts". We are a Christian based performing arts school that has been running for almost 20 years now. Our keys tutor is a guy by the name of Grant Winterburn - You won't have heard of him, but in the music scene down here in NZ he's a bit of "monster". I thought he was the man - 'till I saw your stuff. How does anyone get that good?? Sometimes I ask God WHY?? That just aint fair!! Anyway, if there's any chance of you heading down under (The real Down under - not Australia) to showcase your skills, I know there'd be a whole lot of keen people that would come along to check you out. Rick, the shed sessions were all I needed to see and hear that you got it goin' on. What's simply amazing to me is to watch how many young cats like you the LORD is raising up in this last hour. It inspires older guys like me who have been trying to learn on an' off for years. First it was Jermaine Griggs, then Jamal Hartwell, then Byron 'Talkbox' Chambers and now you. It is even more astonishing that you guys are each other's contemporaries. It's almost like God touched and anointed your lives all at the same time. Your musical depth is truly astonishing. I mean to hear you talk about Miles Davis in the same breath as gospel musicians of that stature blows me away. All I got to say is keep lettin' Him use you young man!!! |
